Keepers Chronicle - August 30, 2016

by Jeric on Aug 31, 2016 at 03:04 PM}
240th Day, Season of the Scion, 1329 AE

I have stood before the scribing table, fingers black with ink, into the wee hours of the night. No harm in taking a few minutes to getting down the events of the evening…

This thing, scribing, is more curious than I imagined. Where I am from, we get our hands black with good tilled earth, and watch a tree grow from the ground…not fully formed from ink and the arcane recesses of some strange machine. But such is the way of these things, I suppose.

I don’t think I have ever spent so much time standing still, and those who were assisting me…I don’t think they ever moved so much in all the trips they made to and from the trading post. Thank you Cavi, Moist, Lilith and Sarth. You made a very tedious process bearable, and dare I say, enjoyable. Thank you for putting yourselves at my beck and call. It was a long, arduous and expensive process.

So, we have made our first serious push into scribing, and 8 cypress trees and a griffon and charr statue later (I am not going to tell you where the charr statue is, I will let him spook you), we are well on our way to mastering scribing and to the outfitting of our guild hall.

I look forward to the remainder of this process. Thanks again to all who have and will inevitably help me in mastering this craft. My blackened fingers are forever indebted and in service to you all.

In service,
Jaryk

Scribing is going to be an ongoing process, both to get it mastered as well as using it to outfit the guild hall and provide us with consumables for various objectives. Thank you all for being so accommodating in providing your hard-earned mats and gold so that we may make the guild hall a wonderful place to gather.

Oh, and in the midst of all the scribing Amanda (Cavalon) found us new member! Dalton! Be sure to give him a warm welcome when you see him. He is relatively new to the game and will be happy to have any help you can give.

Welcome to VALA, Dalton!
